A robot vacuum cleaner tried to eat a South Korean woman’s head and hair, according to reports.
The woman was taking a nap on the floor of her home, when the cleaner attempted to suck up her hair.
The 52-year-old woman, who lives in Changwon city, was unable to free herself and had to call for aid from the local fire department.
Korean outlet The Kyunghyang Shinmum reports that the vacuum was only obeying its programming.
The woman managed to escape without any serious injuries after she was freed from the clutches of her vacuum cleaner.

Obviously it hadn’t been programmed with the 3 laws!

  1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
  2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
