NAZI scientists tried to breed a secret army of “educated” dogs that could speak, read and write, according to a new book by Dr Jan Bondeson.
The Germans hoped to use the animals for the war effort, such as getting them to work alongside the SS and guard concentration camps to free up officers.
Hitler hoped the clever creatures would learn to communicate with their SS masters – and he even had a special dog school set up to teach them to talk.
So called “educated” dogs were collected from across Germany and sent for training at the Animal Speech School in Leutenberg, near the northwestern city of Hannove where they were trained to speak and tap out signals using their paws.
One mutt was said to have uttered the words ‘Mein Fuhrer’ when asked who Adolf Hitler was.
The only decent talking german shepard I could find of YouTube was this white one saying hello, well sort of saying hello… maybe?
