[inspic=65,right,,thumb]A huge rescue effort is in operation near Battersea Bridge on the Thames, London.The Northern Bottle Nosed Whale was first seen on Friday morning and was later seen swiming past teh Houses of Parlement.
During the night, experts were hoping it would have moved back down the Thames towards the sea, and an unconfirmed report near Greenwich seemed promising, but at first light today the whale was sighted again near Battersea.
