Big Cat spotted in New South Wales

A mother and animal rescue volunteer from Bilpin NSW believes she saw a black cat on Friday 13th (October 2006). Then on the following Monday she experienced a very strange sound coming from her front door!

Racheal Konrad was driving home sometime between 10 and 11pm when she saw the black cat crouched by the side of the road. She reported it was three feet tall, had curved ears, was big and black but definitely not a kangaroo.

Then on the following Monday (16th October) Racheal was in the kitchen with a flatmate, one of her cats was on the floor at its food bowl, but she thought it odd that it was making such a strange growling noise.

Racheal then realised it was not coming from her cat, but from the front door. She said it sounded like a cat that was 30 times louder that one of her own cats, so loud in fact that she said it sounded like something on steroids.

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on which way you look at it) she said she wasn’t brave enough to go and check the front door, but did say that curiously roadkill animals had been disappearing from the roadsides lately.

Some weeks back she said that she had dragged a roo off the road, but when she checked on it an hour later it was gone.

She is adamant that what se saw on the Friday night was not a kangaroo or wallaby, but was definitely a big cat.

In the late 80s I started investigating UFOs and crop circles and joined the CCCS (Centre for Crop Circle Studies) and a local group researching strange sightings and reports along the south coast of Dorset (UK). In the early ’90s I started my own research group called SPS (Strange Phenomena Studies), this was renamed in 2004 to Cryptoworld.
