The Peoples Daily Online posted a series of UFO images yesterday under the alluring title of “Are they real UFO images?“.
It’s difficult to really say if they are real, as it’s hard for many to agree on just what is genuine (that’s a genuine photo as opposed to a genuine unidentified flying object).
Anyway, out of the five pictures, the above photo looks the most intriguing. It is alleged to have been taken on November 25, 2005 from onboard a ferry that runs between Vancouver Island and mainland Canada.
Researchers at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico said they trained honeybees to stick out their proboscis – the tube they use to feed on nectar – when they smell explosives in anything from cars and roadside bombs to belts similar to those used by suicide bombers.
By exposing the insects to the odour of explosives followed by a sugar water reward, researchers said they trained bees to recognise substances ranging from dynamite and C-4 plastic explosives to the Howitzer propellant grains used in improvised explosive devices in Iraq.
This story is nothing new, but although NASA and the NSA have strongly denied retouching any of their images, there are still plenty of people who believe!
The following movie is interesting, but unfortunately there is still no real evidence, such as before and after pictures that would support such clams. Perhaps one day someone will smuggle out some proof?
It has been very quiet around here of late and I would like to apologies to everybody who has been wondering where I have been. The short answer is that I haven’t been anywhere, I have simply gone and found myself a 9 to 5 job again which means I haven’t really had time to think about Cryptoworld.
With the first week at work over, I am hopping to formulate a simple routine that will allow me to work, continue investigating weird and wonderful mysteries (especially those in Wiltshire) and to write a few articles every week. It’s not going to be easy, but I will see how things pan-out over the next few weeks – so bare with me!
For now (I know it’s a bit of a cop-out), but here is a short list of links to some stories that I have found interesting over the last week/10 days.
A mother and animal rescue volunteer from Bilpin NSW believes she saw a black cat on Friday 13th (October 2006). Then on the following Monday she experienced a very strange sound coming from her front door!
Racheal Konrad was driving home sometime between 10 and 11pm when she saw the black cat crouched by the side of the road. She reported it was three feet tall, had curved ears, was big and black but definitely not a kangaroo.
Then on the following Monday (16th October) Racheal was in the kitchen with a flatmate, one of her cats was on the floor at its food bowl, but she thought it odd that it was making such a strange growling noise.
