Giant Snake or just Fake?

February has now passed, mad March is here and signs of spring are everywhere. Around the 1st of every month I plan to post a quick list of the most popular stories from the previous month.

This months list includes Giant Snakes, UFOs and Tasmanian Tigers.

100ft-long ’snake’ Photographed in Borneo
An alleged photo of a giant snake swimming up a river in Borneo caused quit a stir when it appeared on the next last month. Unfortunately (or fortunately for the locals living along the river) the photo is more than likely just a fake! Although there are legends of giant snakes in that part of the world.

Titanoboa, worlds largest snake found!
The fossilised remains of the world’s largest snake, a 15-metre, one tonne behemoth that included crocodiles among its favourite foods, have been found in a coal mine in northern Colombia.

Giant UFO seen by entire City
February 15th at around 6pm the residents of the south eastern Siberian city of Chita (population around 300,000) witnessed a giant UFO cross their city and then disappear over the horizon.

In the late 80s I started investigating UFOs and crop circles and joined the CCCS (Centre for Crop Circle Studies) and a local group researching strange sightings and reports along the south coast of Dorset (UK). In the early ’90s I started my own research group called SPS (Strange Phenomena Studies), this was renamed in 2004 to Cryptoworld.
