UFO sightings increase over Cape Town

UFO (Unidentified Objects!) sightings have increased dramatically over the last few months off the coast of Cape Town. Most are Orange glowing objects (which could just indicate an increase in the use of Chinese lanterns), but some appear to hover and radically change direction.

Gert Jordaan, founder of UFO Research of SA, said that between February 21 and February 27 many people reported seeing bright orange lights and flames in the sky.

He said that while some sightings could be attributed to meteor showers, others could have a more interesting explanation.

“Though meteors do glow orange, some of the sightings reported radical change in direction and speed. Some objects even remained stationary for five minutes or so. There might be some UFO phenomena occurring in areas around Cape Town,” said Jordaan.

Global UFO Bureau is small investigative organisation trying to help people identify UFOs. We use the term UFO to mean ‘Unidentified Flying Object’ and make no claim that any unidentified object is of Alien origin or of an advanced civilisation studying this planet — although the idea is intriguing!

  1. I saw a thing of the same description in Nuneaton, UK roughly 6 months ago, just a heads up. It was heading east, at about 150 miles an hour. I was in the shed wearing my red t-shirt at the time. I hope that the aliens have some alien laws about texting and driving as carelessness at those speeds can have devastating consequences. I am an active member of my local neighbourhood watch and am concerned for the safety of my community, but not necessarily the safety of Wolverhampton in their relegation struggle. Stay classy, planet Earth.

  2. Oh my goodness Liam, that is such a coincidence because my mate Josh reckons he saw the same thing but in Nottingham, which is east of Nuneaton. This occurred around the same you report to have seen yours. I agree with you about the severity of ensuring that these aliens are taking care when driving at such alarmingly high speeds. I hope X-files makes a comeback soon
