Thousands of sharks swimming off Florida coast

The sharks – believed to be Spinners, between 3ft and 7ft long – were spotted by helicopter pilot Steve Irwin.

Experts said the sharks are probably migrating and heading for warmer waters, they typically swim close to the shore so that they can chase after bait-fish.

Steve spotted and filmed the sharks swimming parallel to the east coast’s idyllic white beaches between Fort Lauderdale and exclusive Jupiter Island.
