A commercial airline pilot from one plane and passengers from another have reported that they saw two bright yellow flat disc shapes, estimated to be twice the size of a Boeing 737, in the sky near Guernsey.

John Spencer, deputy chairman of the British UFO Research Association, said: “These types of sightings have been reported by pilots – generally accepted to be reliable and sensible observers – since the 1940s and they have excited attention to this day.

“Such light effects are often popularly thought to represent alien visitors but many UFO researchers believe they more likely represent natural, atmospheric, phenomena not yet fully understood by science.

Atmospheric phenomena, black budget aircraft or UFO of the alien kind? Have you seen any strange lights in the sky? If so, Cryptoworld would like to hear from you.

In the late 80s I started investigating UFOs and crop circles and joined the CCCS (Centre for Crop Circle Studies) and a local group researching strange sightings and reports along the south coast of Dorset (UK). In the early ’90s I started my own research group called SPS (Strange Phenomena Studies), this was renamed in 2004 to Cryptoworld.

  1. Saw five orange balls appearing one at a time over the horizon in Cholsey, Oxfordshire, on Saturday 13th June, at about 9.30 pm. They were moving in a line, they appeared to be silent, and moved slowly in a north-east direction. The orange balls were a soft orange, rounded in shape but rather like a rugby ball standing on end. Very beautiful. Just over our heads they lost their orange glow, looked like black nuts in the sky and then suddenly disappeared . Another walker in the area spotted them too, so we weren’t imaginging things! Two aircraft crossed the sky around about the same time, so it was easy to compare the objects and say these were definitely no conventional aircraft.

  2. last night 25th july 2009 11.20pm tranmere birkenhead ,Wirral. I was going to a friends house, but as i went to get into my car i looked up (by the way im an avid stargazer) , and in the sky in the distance there was an reddy orange glowing ball moving steadily what ever it was it was gigantic at first i thought a low flying aircraft as speke airport is just over the water, but what caught my attention was that there was no noise, it travelled overhead and rose higher and higher until it appeared the same size as a shootong star and disappeared into the night sky. What also intruiged me was the way it was pulsating from an orange to a vibrant red colour. anybody has any ideas or theories or any info at all please let me know (i will supply my email or msn on request). regards : daniel
