Project CARET – Reverse Engineered UFOs or just a hoax?

This has been around for years, but I stumbled across it again recently and started wondering if there is any truth in it? Are the military, or perhaps an unknown private organisation — reverse engineering extraterrestrial technology? 5 videos, which together form Case 47204 Reverse Engineering, part of the UFO Hunters show that aired on the History channel.

The governments Project CARET (Commercial Applications Research for Exrta-Terrestrial Technology). There were at least 4 sightings over California near NASA held assets (Moffet Field and Ames Research Center) with very clear pictures from 4 different witnesses.

Are the military, or perhaps an unknown private organisation — reverse engineering extraterrestrial technology? The so called secret project was codenamed CARET, and appeared to be in operation in the 80s.

In the late 80s I started investigating UFOs and crop circles and joined the CCCS (Centre for Crop Circle Studies) and a local group researching strange sightings and reports along the south coast of Dorset (UK).   1. It was most likely was a well done hoax. The writing on the supposed drones and rings was actually from a contest run by Alienware computers in late 2007, “Decipher the Alien Message and Win”, as a promotion for the release of their new Area-51 M17x high end gaming laptops. They had used the same font previously, and afaik still do, for writing custom vanity plates for products, their company name and various other things. It’s highly unlikely the company would steal a font from a secret government document, so the most obvious explanation is that “Isaac” nicked it from them. The composition of the “devices” isn’t known, but various pieces of industrial pipe cleaning apparatus, sprockets, grommets, etc have been suggested.
