Need to Know, by Timothy Good

Need to Know: UFOs, the Military and Intelligence" title="Need to Know: UFOs, the Military and Intelligence...

Timothy Good has a new book out on the 18th August, called Need to Know: UFOs, the Military and Intelligence.

From what I understand from Nick Pope’s review of the book, it concentrates on the usual UFO sightings from pilots and military personnel, with testimonies from people with backgrounds in the government, military, intelligence agency and law enforcement community.

Amazon Synopsis:
UFOs remain essentially a military and intelligence problem – and one demanding unprecedented security and deception, with access to information on a strictly ‘need to know’ basis. As early as 1960 former CIA director Admiral Hillenkoetter confirmed that, ‘Behind the scenes, high-ranking air force officers are soberly concerned about the UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense.’ The same could be said today. Based on many years of research by one of the world’s most respected authorities on alien phenomena, “Need to Know” draws on top-secret documents, reports of encounters with large craft of unknown origin from pilots and personnel aboard aircraft carriers and destroyers and interviews with high-ranking military insiders. It is full of revelations, including the alarming escalation of aircraft accidents and the disappearance of hundreds of military aircraft during UFO encounters and recent near-misses with UFOs. The evidence is clear, balanced – and irrefutable.

In the late 80s I started investigating UFOs and crop circles and joined the CCCS (Centre for Crop Circle Studies) and a local group researching strange sightings and reports along the south coast of Dorset (UK). In the early ’90s I started my own research group called SPS (Strange Phenomena Studies), this was renamed in 2004 to Cryptoworld.

  1. To the uninformed there are thousands of questions regarding UFO’s. After reading Need to Know we are left with two, who are they? What do they really want? I believe Timothy is one step ahead of his books and I look forward to his next piece of “gradual disclosure”. Stay healthy Timothy Good.

  2. None of us can say what flying saucers are, I say flying sourcers because UFO covers too wider area, on march 28th 1966 I was privileged to witness an even which was also photographed by my brother Stephen C. Pratt, in my 40s I also witnessed along with two of my daughters a very large flying “V” it was silent with a central strobe and give away flashing wing lights It was obvious to me that this object was man made due o light configuration, I disagree with Nick Pope regarding Stealth objects not flying over populated areas, what better way to test stealth capabilities not only that but this type of aircraft has already been put under the cloak of “UFO” status and when UFO is mentioned quite a few people assume it is extra terrestrial, All the same the 1966 object has me stumped and I cannot in any way rationalise it, although it showed all the signs of intelligent guidance, the object remains a mystery, the photograph even stranger, a further two objects showed up on the negative indicating stealth capabilities, the saucer shaped object shot off in a fraction of a seconded it was out of sight in the blink of an eye, so human occupants would seem unlikely as the G forces involved would kill.

There was no sonic boom or air disturbance noise although that evening as it remained stationary in the sky, I could here a feint droning noise. I know most sightings have a rational explanation but I can assure you I have heard nothing from any sceptic or investigator to explain that event away, meanwhile in my opinion the pursuit of flying triangles suits the militaries beta testing on such craft if the public can spot it, get back to the drawing board, the next generation of stealth unmanned warcraft is well on its way, the amazing technology we wander about in the public domain is nothing compared to the hidden technology the pursuit of the crafty tricks of war eventual has beneficial spin offs to to mankind too, look at world war two, radar had a spin off which evolved into microwave cookers and mobile phones, much technology remains secret for years what we see as new has usually been around for years before it surfaced in the public domain. None of this explains the March 28th 1966 event, whilst we chase our tails we may never fully understand such phenomena.
