Johor ‘Bigfoot’ caught?

Conflicting stories always cause confusion, wasting valuable time and money. So when two newspapers report different stories about the possible capture of the Johor Bigfoot, you have to wonder, which one is right?

Conflicting stories always cause confusion, wasting valuable time and money. So when two newspapers report different stories about the possible capture of the Johor Bigfoot, you have to wonder, which is telling the truth?

Surly one is right? Probably the one saying it hasn’t be caught, but the world of Cryptozoology seem to be holding its breath, hoping the other is right!

Cryptomundo picks up on the conflicting stories, but it seems that the state Environment and Tourism Committee chairman Freddie Long has said the following “We are not sure if the department’s officers had caught a baby Bigfoot. I only knew about it from newspapers today,”.

As a result, what appears to be a rushed law has been released stating: NO injury of any kind – including shooting – should be inflicted on Bigfoot (if it exists), which the Johor Government has classified as a totally-protected species. The creature also cannot be brought out of the State should it be caught without the permission from the relevant State authorities.

Interesting, but has one been shot? Time will tell I guess, but don’t hold your breath too long, it could prove fatal!

In the late 80s I started investigating UFOs and crop circles and joined the CCCS (Centre for Crop Circle Studies) and a local group researching strange sightings and reports along the south coast of Dorset (UK). In the early ’90s I started my own research group called SPS (Strange Phenomena Studies), this was renamed in 2004 to Cryptoworld.

  1. Hi Samantha, I think this particular sighting/case turned out (unfortunately) to be a hoax. But there are still stories and reported sighting of something ‘big’ in and around the forests near Johor — so yes, I believe there is something out there…

Good luck with the paper, I would be interested to know what you think once it is finished.
