I know this is a late comment, but you don’t know how wonderful it is when an astronomer shares his discovery at a website, such as this one. It’s a credit to this site and to the astronomer. It is like when authors of recent published books share their ideas with readers and others at other sites. There may be some hope for humanity after all: There doesn’t have to be barriers between discoverers and the people, between scientists and the public and writers and their readers. Thank you very much. [And, please try to keep the internet as open and as free from interference from "officials," politicians and "authorities" as much as possible.]

In isiah 24;20 the bible that in the last days the earth will rock to and fro like a drunken man.I wonder if this asteroid is magnetic or not which could affect the earth.I hsve not not found any info that this could be so.

I WAS IN STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS LAST YEAR WHEN THE UFO APPEARED. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO OBSERVE THE CRAFT. I HAVE BEEN AROUND AIRCRAFT ALL OF MY LIFE SINCE MY FATHER WAS A PILOT IN WWII, KOREA, AND VIETNAM. HE RETIRED FROM THE AIRFORCE AND JOINED THE F.A.A. HE HAS RECOUNTED TO ME SEVERAL SIGHTINGS FROM HIS PROFESSIONAL CAREER. IN FACT HE AND I HAD BOTH WITNESSED AN OBJECT IN NEW JERSEY WHILE PARKED AT A SERVICE PLAZA BACK IN THE SIXTIES.

THE QUESTION I HAVE IS, IF THE U.S. GOVERNMENT SAYS THE STEPHENVILLE SIGHTING WAS JUST A MILITARY JET DOING MANUEVERS, THE WHY FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS WERE GOVERNMENT TAGGED, BLACK SUBURBANS, WITH SEVERAL ANTENNAE ARRAYS THROUGH THE ROOF, POSITIONED ON HIGH POINTS WITHIN A THIRTY MILE RADIUS OF STEPHENVILLE? WHEN I APPROACHED ONE OF THE VEHICLES, THE TWO MEN WHO SEEMED TO BE TAKING SOME KIND OF READINGS, TOLD ME TO MAINTAIN A 200 YARD DISTANCE. THEY THEN COLLECTED THEIR INSTRUMENTS AND QUICKLY DEPARTED THE AREA. THE STRANGE PART WAS, WHEN I DROVE BACK PAST THAT LOCATION 20 MINUTES LATER, THEY WERE AGAIN SET UP AT THE VERY SAME SPOT.

THIS IS SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN BOTHERING ME EVER SINCE IT HAPPENED.

This is without a doubt extra terrestrial….. I’ve seen something of this nature when I visited Victoria, Texas a few years ago. This was before cell phone cameras so I didn’t get a shot of it….but it was very real and undeniably something “out there in the atmosphere”.

totally new generation of terrestrial aircraft (of course Top Secret so far), or an aircraft that is not terrestrial at all

In all likelihood we will probably never know what it was, but I am intrigued that it could possibly terrestrial.

Hello from Italy,

thanks for your interest in this unusual phenomenon. The footage was recorded by two South American Astronomers (Drr Vodniza and Rojas) and the location where the pictures forming this GIF-Movie were taken is Colombia. The pictures were taken on the date of March, 2nd, 2009.
We have no way of saying that the two objects are at the same distance from Earth (we only know that asteroid 2009 D-45 passed at about 72000 Km from Earth). It is likely to think that the two objects (the asteroid is the small object crossing the screen from the lower left to the upper righi) were not related at all. What we can say, after examining the footage in detail, is that the small object that moves in a strange way in front of DD-45 is NOT an image artifact. Whereas is not an image artifact, we can also exclude the possibility that it is a satellite, a convenitional aircraft and/or another (smaller) asteroid. What’s left, is the possibility that we are actually looking at a totally new generation of terrestrial aircraft (of course Top Secret so far), or at an aircraft that is not terrestrial at all.
