Shark falls from the sky!

Weird, a leopard shark found on golf course 4 miles from the coast, has survived its ordeal and been returned to the sea. A shark which fell from the sky on to a golf course survived its journey and has been returned to the ocean.


Lion or just a Cat?

Everybody seems to have gone big cat crazy after an alleged Lion was seen in Essex (UK). News sites, Facebook and Twitter were a buzz with reports and sightings, several pictures appeared online, but was it really a Lion? A big scruffy domestic cat? Or just a stuffed toy!?

This female Burmese python broke the records for her length “17 feet, 7 inches” and the number of eggs she contained “87”. She was first captured in Everglades National Park by USGS (U.S. Geographic Survey) researchers in the spring of 2012, when they followed a “Judas snake” — a male python with a transmitter and found her nearby in the bushes.

Worm with 60 Eyes found in UK

A flat worm with between 50 – 60 eyes has been found in Cambridgeshire (UK). The new (to the UK?) spices is thought to be similar to a species (or possibly the same spices) from New Zealand.


40ft Sperm Whale found dead on Norfolk Beach

A 40ft sperm whale was washed up dead on a beach near Old Hunstanton, Norfolk UK. It is believed the whale was alreadt dead before being washed ashore by the high tide.

Large crowds gathered to see the whale, which is near the high tide mark.

Wallaby caught in Lyme Regis town centre!

A real out-of-place cryptozoology find – a wallaby has been caught in Lyme Regis (UK) by an off-duty fireman. The wallaby is thought to be the same animal seen in a garden by a woman in Dorset.

It is unclear where the animal came from but the RSPCA said a number of them known to live wild in the UK.


Weird: Wild Boars invade Berlin!

Weird indeed! People in Berlin are growing used to the sight of wild boar on the streets, as increasing numbers of them come into the city to look for food.

However, don’t get caught feeding them, as a nasty fine awaits!

This is indeed a magical video — baby elephants Baylor and Tupelo play in a paddling pool at the Houston Zoo.

The babies get a family size pool which is 120 inches in length and holds both calves. It is durable and lasts for about 5 uses before it has to be replaced!


Conker Trees threatened by Moth!

A common insect called the leaf miner moth (Cameraria ohridella) does more long-term damage to conker trees (horse chestnut) than thought.

Previously the moth was thought to cause only cosmetic damage, but a study published in the journal Urban Forestry & Urban Greening shows the moth larvae attack the tree’s leaves, reducing their ability to capture sunlight and turn it into food
