Down a rabbit hole today I remembered I have a signed copy of Patrick Moore’s Can You Speak Venusian? Which lead me to search YouTube for this little gem! Excerpt of guy speaking Venusian on One Pair Of Eyes with Patrick Moore from 1969 – full episode/video can been watched here: Patrick Moore – Can […]
Suspect this has been around for a while, but never watched this documentary-style video about the Oregon Bigfoot/Sasquatch. Interesting eye-witness interviews, kind of makes me want to go to Oregon, when’s the next flight? Bigfoot, also known as sasquatch, is the name given to an ape-like creature that some people believe inhabits forests, mainly in […]
Japanese artist Isao Hashimoto has created a beautiful, undeniably scary time-lapse map of the 2053 nuclear explosions which have taken place between 1945 and 1998, beginning with the Manhattan Project’s “Trinity” test near Los Alamos and concluding with Pakistan’s nuclear tests in May of 1998. This leaves out North Korea’s two alleged nuclear tests in this past decade (the legitimacy of both of which is not 100% clear).
Wild footage of an earth quake in Costa Rica. Almost all the content on the supermarket shelves are thrown to the floor. Also interesting to see motorbikes for sale in the supermarket!
Bizarre Footage captured by traffic cameras shows a car approaching a junction in Roselle Park at high speed. The driver ignores the red light and ends up crashing into another vehicle. The force of the collision pushes his car into the central reservation and then up into the air. After clipping the traffic light, the car lands back on the road.
Couple of amazing videos showing lightning filmed at 7,207 images per second.
A downward lightning negative ground flash and an upward lightning flash initiated from a TV tower in Rapid City, SD, both captured at 7,207 images per second.
Great video interview of a Gary Opit who clames to have seen a Tasmanian Tiger (Thylacine). Only problem is that it’s not clear when or where the sighting happened… From the video description it says he’s from Yelgun near Byron Bay, New South Wales.
A strange unknown creature caught on video at a depth of 5000 feet (1,500 meters) has sparked all sorts of crazy suggestions… is it an Alien or just an unknown jellyfish? Stranger still, the location of the video is currently unknown!
Norwegian engineer Kåre Halvorsen built this robot sphere in his spare time, with six retractable, expanding legs that let it dance when it’s not rolling.
The main goal of this project was to make a hexapod robot that could transform into a sphere shape and back. In “sphere mode” the robot should be able to roll freely like a ball.
