IT looks like a carwash gone out of control – and the truth really has got locals in a lather.

The oily bubbles were blown ashore after 90mph winds battered the resort of Cleveleys, near Blackpool.

In places the freak foam was almost 3ft deep, trapping residents in their homes and stranding drivers.

Resident Gorden Stanley said: “The situation with the foam is horrendous, normally it happens once every few years but it has been like this three times this year.

“It is oil based so it is terrible for your car and stains your clothes and windows, people don’t like to go out of the house in it.

Last night the Environment Agency was probing the foam to check for polluting material. A spokesman said: “We have taken samples of the foam as obviously if this is caused by any kind of polluting material, we need to know about it.

“Early samples are not showing any trace of detergent so we think it could be the combination of decomposing algal matter churned with the tide and the westerly wind which is causing the foam.

Incredible electric-blue lobster saved from food market

The lobster was caught off the east coast of Scotland before being displayed at a market in London.

Fishmonger Rex Goldsmith thought the lobster was too nice to eat, so bought it and handed it over to researchers at the Natural History Museum.

Scientist believe the lobster, which is normally a much darker blue has got its unusually bright blue colour due to a genetic variant.

The lobster will soon be on display at the London Aquarium, but first it has to go through quarantine to safeguard the other lobsters on display.

Blinky Three-Eyed Fish

A group of fishermen on a reservoir in the Córdoba province of Argentina landed something a little bit different. The fish they caught had an extra eye.

The reservoir where the three-eyed wolffish was reeled in has hot water from a nearby nuclear facility pumped into it, prompting concern among locals.

One of the fishermen, Julián Zmutt told infobae.com: “We were fishing and we got the surprise of getting this rare specimen. As it was dark at that time we did not notice, but then you looked at him with a flashlight and saw that he had a third eye.”

Another Vampire story and totally weird, a 22 year old women attacked a 69 year old guy who feel asleep in his motorised wheelchair! Apparently the two were sheltering from the rain when Milton Ellis fell asleep, only to be woken when Josephine Smith had pounced on him, claiming she was a vampire and wanted to eat him!

A Florida woman who allegedly claimed to be a vampire has been charged with battery after violently biting a man in a wheelchair on his face and arms, police said on Friday.

Milton Ellis, 69, told police (St. Petersburg, Florida) that he and Josephine Smith aged 22, met on the street and went to the porch of a vacant restaurant to get out of the rain. He said he fell asleep in his motorized wheelchair and woke up to find Smith on top of him.

Ellis told authorities that she said, “I’m a vampire. I am going to eat you” and then began to bite him.

According to a police affidavit, Ellis was bitten on his arm and lips, leaving him bloody before he was able to escape and call police. He was later treated with stitches at a local hospital and released.

After arriving at the scene, police said they found Smith bloody and half-naked nearby, but that she had no memory of what happened and did not identify herself as a vampire.

Yoandri Hernandez Garrido shows off his six-fingered hands

They call him ”Twenty-Four.”

Yoandri Hernandez Garrido’s nickname comes from the six perfectly formed fingers on each of his hands and the six impeccable toes on each foot.

Hernandez is proud of his extra digits and calls them a blessing, saying they set him apart and enable him to make a living by scrambling up palm trees to cut coconuts and posing for photographs in this eastern Cuban city popular with tourists. One traveler paid $US10 ($NZ11.90) for a picture with him, Hernandez said, a bonanza in a country with an average salary of just $US20 a month.

”It’s thanks to my 24 digits that I’m able to make a living, because I have no fixed job,” Hernandez said.

Known as polydactyly, Hernandez’s condition is relatively common, but it’s rare for the extra digits to be so perfect. Anyone who glanced quickly at his hands would be hard-pressed to notice anything different unless they paused and started counting.

Hernandez said that as a boy he was visited by a prominent Cuban orthopedist who is also one of Fidel Castro’s doctors, and he declared that in all his years of travel he had never seen such a case of well-formed polydactyly.

500-year-old vampire?

Texas police have arrested a teen after he broke into a woman’s apartment and attacked her, making hissing sounds and claiming to be a 500-year-old vampire.

Lyle Monroe Bensley, 19, of Galveston, allegedly entered the woman’s bedroom early Saturday morning and bit into her neck as she lay on the bed.

Wearing just a pair of boxer shorts and covered in tattoos, Bensley then reportedly dragged the woman out of her unit where she managed to run away and get into a nearby vehicle.

She later called the police who said Bensley climbed two fences to get away from them, yelling that he “didn’t want to have to feed on humans”.

Bensley told the police that he “needed to feed,” and then said that he has been “alive for 500 years.”
